City of Eden Water Supply Evaluation

CLIENT: City of Eden
LOCATION: Eden, TX

The City of Eden water supply has consisted of two deep (approximately 4,000 feet) water wells since the second well was constructed 30 years ago. While the wells have been good sources of production, it is usually during peak demand season that one of the pumps goes out or requires maintenance, thus putting the City into a difficult position of keeping up with demand. The City desired to drill a third well to provide for operational flexibility and to provide a level of safety against complete failure of one or both of the older wells. eHT assisted the City in obtaining $4.5 million in funding from the Texas Water Development Board, which included approximately 75% grant and loan forgiveness. The project included installation of a new well, transmission piping, SCADA upgrades and associated site improvements.
