In 2019, Abilene Christian University initiated a multi-phased, $90 million dollar renovation and rehabilitation campaign to revitalize its aging residence halls. eHT was selected to be part of the design team responsible for the first phase of design and construction which includes the demolition of two existing residence hall structures and the construction of two new residence hall facilities. The opening phase of the project also includes the renovation of an existing facility student services. eHT provided a variety of services including site survey services, geotechnical soils investigation, local regulatory compliance and all civil related design elements. Specific site surveying contributions included the completion of a detailed three-dimensional topographic survey including a detailed survey of existing public and private utilities on the project site. Geotechnical services included the collection of multiple soil samples at varying depths, complete laboratory analysis of the samples, and recommendations for a variety of building foundation and pavement design conditions. Civil design elements completed by eHT included the preparation of detailed site demolition plans, three-dimensional site grading and drainage plans, site utility service connection plans and pavement design.
