As part of a TWDB DWSRF water system improvement project, eHT prepared a Water Master Plan for the City including a comprehensive distribution system model to determine the necessary improvements to the system. The City installed several new, strategically placed pressure regulating valves to provide for more consistent pressures throughout the distribution system. The Plan also identified several water distribution lines that needed to be replaced or upgraded and the need to construct an elevated water storage tank to replace two existing standpipes that were each over 80 years old. The project included the installation of a composite 0.25 MG elevated storage tank; and site grading, pipes, fittings, valves, controls, lighting, electrical, appurtenances and all related work; removal of an existing 0.69 MG standpipe; removal of an existing 0.34 MG standpipe; the rehabilitation of an existing 1.0 MG ground storage tank, including interior sandblasting and coating and repairs.
