eHT was retained by the City of Mertzon (City) to design and prepare construction documents for capital improvements to the WWTP. Improvements to the City’s WWTP included rehabilitation of the aeration basin and clarifier equipment, construction of a new lined irrigation holding pond, and new irrigation infrastructure including pump, piping and center pivot irrigators.

eHT developed a Closure Plan for the existing unlined irrigation storage pond and completed a major permit amendment to modify the existing permitted Texas Land Application Program (TLAP) permit to incorporate City-owned public properties (such as a nearby park and several ballfields) into the TLAP permit for seasonal land application of effluent, in order to eliminate the need for the City acquire significant additional property for effluent land application.
