eHT provided design and management services for the access road required to reach the City of Missouri City’s new Regional Water Treatment Plant. The project consisted of 4,800 linear feet of crushed concrete surface, as well as associated drainage improvements. Due to the existing subsurface conditions, the road required 18-inches of crushed concrete fill in order to support the anticipated traffic loads. eHT was able to reduce the amount of crushed concrete material to 10-inches by specifying a geogrid to increase the interlocking force of the aggregate material. Drainage improvements for the project included backslope interceptors, a new 12-foot by 4-foot concrete box culvert and block retaining wall. eHT provided design and acquisition surveying for the project.
