eHT provided application assistance and project management for water distribution system improvements and the renovation of 0.10 and 0.20 MG elevated water storage tanks. Additionally, an automated radio-read meter reading system was implemented. The project included the replacement of old, dilapidated water distribution piping within the City of Winters’ existing distribution system with 2,120 linear feet of 4-inch, 27,040 linear feet of 6-inch, and 4,745 linear feet of 8-inch water line. Faced with constant pipe repair costs and interrupted service to its customers, the City of Winters decided to replace the most problematic sections in its distribution system. Funding from the USDA RUS allowed the City to restore adequate water service to its residents. This contract was also funded in part with funds from ARRA.
