CLIENT: Acton Municipal Utility District |
LOCATION: Granbury, TX |
Due to the age, condition, and performance of the Acton Municipal Utility District (AMUD) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) No. 2, AMUD hired eHT to assist in the implementation of a major improvement project to upgrade or replace significantly deteriorated components, including a new mechanical screen, in-plant lift station, odor control system, grit removal system (as an additive alternate), Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR), mechanical dewatering building and associated equipment, and modifications to existing structures. The upgrades to the WWTP are intended to improve plant performance, the efficiency of overall plant performance, and the effluent quality for discharge into the Brazos River, adjacent to the WWTP. The project will enable the WWTP to consistently comply with its TPDES permit limits, as well as provide preparation for the potential of new growth. eHT prepared the WWTP to function throughout a 20-year planning horizon (through the year 2041) by rehabilitating and/or replacing WWTP components as necessary. The project utilized funding from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF).
